Detailed Permissions by Feature
Expand any feature to see exactly what each role can and cannot do. Every capability is clearly defined with no ambiguity.
Why role-based access matters
🔒 Privacy & Security
Sensitive information like financial data, medical records, and private documents are only accessible to adults and admins. Juniors never see information they shouldn't.
👶 Age-Appropriate
Each role sees a customized interface designed for their responsibility level. Juniors aren't overwhelmed, members get autonomy, and adults maintain control.
🎯 Clear Accountability
Role-based permissions create clear lines of responsibility. Everyone knows what they can manage, and audit logs track who did what for complete transparency.
🤝 Collaborative
Everyone can contribute at their level. Juniors can complete tasks and vote on meals, members can manage their schedules, and caregivers can help without full admin access.
Real-world examples
Sarah (16, Member) wants to add a study group to the calendar
Sarah can create calendar events for herself, see the household schedule to avoid conflicts, and RSVP to household events. However, she cannot edit others' work meetings or delete household events.
Mike (Caregiver) needs to update the grocery list
Mike can add items, remove items, and mark things as purchased. He can see price estimates but cannot change the household budget limits set by the adults.
Emma (8, Junior) wants to check her chores
Emma sees a simplified view of her own tasks with fun gamification. She can mark chores as complete and see her points, but she doesn't see the full household task list or financial rewards.
