HuniDu ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our family organization platform.

- Household Data: Family member names, calendar events, tasks, meal plans, budgets, documents
- Payment Information: Processed securely through Stripe (we do not store credit card numbers)
- Profile Information: Photos, preferences, dietary restrictions
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Data: Features used, pages viewed, time spent
- Device Information: IP address, browser type, operating system
- Cookies: Session cookies for authentication and preferences
2.3 Third-Party Information
- OAuth Providers: When you sign in with Google, Microsoft, or Apple, we receive basic profile information
- Calendar Sync: If you connect external calendars, we access event data you authorize
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the HuniDu service
- Process your subscription payments and manage billing
- Send you service-related notifications and updates
- Provide customer support
- Improve our service and develop new features

Data you add to HuniDu is shared with other members of your household according to your household's permission settings.

- Supabase: Database and authentication hosting
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Resend: Transactional email delivery
- Vercel: Application hosting
- OpenAI: AI-powered features (meal suggestions, etc.)

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
4.4 Business Transfers
If HuniDu is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4.5 What We Don't Do
We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties. We do NOT use your data for advertising purposes.
We implement industry-standard security measures:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encryption at rest for sensitive data
- Regular security audits and updates
- Row-level security policies in our database
- Secure authentication with OAuth 2.0
- Payment data handled exclusively by PCI-compliant Stripe
However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your data within 30 days, except:
- Billing records (retained for 7 years for tax/legal compliance)
- Audit logs (retained for security purposes)
- Data required by law to be retained
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Correction: Update or correct your information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
- Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
- Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails (service emails cannot be disabled)

HuniDu is designed for family use, including children. However, only adults (18+) may create accounts and manage subscriptions. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children's use of the service and the data they add.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent. Child profiles are created and managed by parents/guardians.
Your data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws.
We use cookies for:
